1. Who we are

The Good Hello is operated by Butterfly Management LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). We provide a guided, AI-assisted layoff-recovery experience at thegoodhello.com. Questions about this policy? Email hello@thegoodhello.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address.
• Content you provide — your responses, written reflections, exercise answers, and the messages you send during conversations, along with the keepsake documents generated for you (such as your “Note to Self”).
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles that. We retain a record that a purchase occurred.
• Usage information — sign-in records, the pages you visit within the experience and time spent, and how you arrived (for example, a campaign link’s source).

3. How we use your information

To provide and personalize the experience; generate your keepsake documents; send you account and product emails (such as your sign-in link and module updates); process your payment; provide support; and improve the service.

4. AI processing

The messages you send during conversations are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate the responses you receive. This processing is necessary to provide the experience.

5. Service providers we use

We share data only with the providers that help us operate the service, each under their own terms:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-generated responses
• a database & authentication provider
• email service providers (for delivery and automation)
• a website hosting provider

6. We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, after which we delete or anonymize it — except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment or tax records).

8. Security

Your data is stored on secured, access-controlled infrastructure, and sensitive records are restricted so they are only accessible by our server, not the public. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@thegoodhello.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

10. Data location

Our providers primarily store data in the United States.

11. Children

The service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

12. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s local storage for essential functions, such as keeping you signed in and remembering how you arrived. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new effective date at the top of this page.
