The Good Hello

How we use AI

Effective date: August 1, 2026

The Good Hello is built with care by real people — and guided, in the moment, by AI. We want to be clear and honest about that, because you deserve to know who (and what) you’re talking to, especially when you’re sharing something tender.

The voices are AI

Gladys and Jackie are AI-guided companions, grounded in the real approach and lived experience of the people behind The Good Hello. When you’re in a conversation, an AI is generating the responses — it is not the real Gladys or Jackie replying live, and it is not a licensed therapist, doctor, or counselor.

What the AI does

What the AI isn’t

It isn’t therapy, and it isn’t professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. Like all AI, it can occasionally be inaccurate or miss the mark — please use your own judgment. See our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

No one is watching in real time

Your conversations are private — no human is reading them as they happen, and the AI cannot get you help in an emergency. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact emergency services (911) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline right away.

Your conversations stay yours

To generate responses, your messages are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude). Your conversations are not used to train AI models. We store your content only to provide the experience to you — how we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.

Real people behind it

The framework, the voices, and the whole experience were designed by real people who have lived what you’re going through. The AI carries that work to you — it doesn’t replace the humans who made it.
